WEEK 27

 6 Months!!!

Hola!!
So this week I hit 6 weeks! I am now 1/4 done with my mission! Its gone by pretty fast.
I am starting to like this area more and I am getting to know the people a lot better. We still have the baptism date for Emiliano and we are just working with him to build his testimony. We have an investigator, Lalo, and he is really interested and has a good understanding of all the teachings. The only problem is that he has a little problem with the word of wisdom and he lives with his girlfriend but they are getting married and they said that eventually they want to get married in the temple so that is really good. They are going through some hard times because she had cancer and now she can't give birth. In our lesson that we had with her she told us that there is nothing to be thankful for and nothing is fair. God is always just and he has a plan for everyone and all our trials we have are possible to overcome if we put our trust in the Lord. And there is a quote I like. It says that sometimes the blessings don't come in this life but the life to come and we can have the hope so that we can conquer anything that comes.
I had divisions this week and it was pretty interesting hah, he was new in his area so we were pretty much lost the whole day. But they live close to the top of a hill so I had a good view.
That is pretty much it. I miss and love all you guys! 1 Nephi 8

WEEK 26

Happy Valentine's Day!

So I didn't have a Valentine this year so that's pretty normal haha. But I hope everyone could show the love they have for other people.

This week was pretty normal. I am getting used to my new area and I like the people here.
We have a baptism date!! His name is Emiliano and he is 11 years old. His mom is a member and we have taught him the lessons and he wants to be baptized so that's pretty neat. 11th of March is his baptism. We also have investigators that want to be baptized but they have a little work to do.

We played basketball this morning so that is always fun to do. oh and the zone leaders live above us the the apartments so we always talk and they are cool.

That's cool that Britney got a new car I really like it. I also want to drive it haha..

Sorry my email is so short.

Love and miss all of you guys!!!

WEEK 25

Happy Birthday Grandpa!!!!!

Sooo.. Happy Birthday Grandpa! I just want to say that you have been a great example in my life in every aspect. I miss working with you and talking about life with you. I use a lot of your stories in my mission.

This week has been a lot different because I am in new area. I've had to get to know new people and I'm trying to learn the area. So turns out that my old area was the rich part of the mission haha. The people here are a lot different also. It's easier to find people in this area but also the people that don't want to listen are more rude haha. This area has 2 hills in it so my legs are pretty tired haha. My new comp is awesome I like teaching with him.

There are a lot of drunk people that talk to us in the streets and for some reason they know a little English haha, and also people always shout out English to me when they see me and more times than not it's bad words haha. The people also hate trump here so sometimes I say I'm from Canada to be safe haha.
This morning we went on a hike and it took about 5 hours haha so it was pretty rough but the view was worth it and only the gringos survived to the end haha the rest stopped half way. Of course as you will see....I am on the top or finish.

That's about all nothing real exciting.
Moroni 10: 3-5 read and ponder this scripture and I want to invite the people that are still not sure about the gospel to do what the scripture says to do. just do it. please.
love and miss you guys sooo much and remember Siempre Sonreír, hay muchas cosas disfrutar en esta vida al pesar desafíos que tenemos en esta vida pero debemos buscar por las bendiciones que tenemos. sea feliz

love, Elder Bastian De México

WEEK 24

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!!!

So first of all I want to say Happy Birthday Dad! You're Awesome and I use all your advise that you have given me in my mission so good job haha.

That must have been a crazy game! I wish I could've watched it. I didn't want them to win but ni modo. And all that food sounds amazing haha.

So I was in a trio for this week and it was pretty interesting. We had to live in a different area because they have more beds for us. He didn't have hot water so we had to heat up the water with an electric stove and take bucket showers. It really wasn't that bad. We had to work in both of our areas so it was a little difficult but we managed. I was pretty much the leader and had to make all the decisions of how we would do stuff.
We celebrated Maggie's birthday and we just ate cake nothing special.

Sooooooooooo...... changes were this week and I'm changing areas!!!! And I have a new companion. Elder Melchor. He's pretty cool so far but its only been like a half a day with him. It's really hard leaving my area especially that we got a baptism date this week for Margarita!! Elder Mozombite and I found and taught her together. Oh and I'm in stake Cuautepec and in the area Madero 2 or something like that haha.

The family Dorantes gave me a sweater as a going away gift so that was super nice.
I'll tell you more about my comp and area next week when I know more. And no pictures this week, this computer doesn't have the right plug in for my camera but will send them next week!

This mission is full of changes and new challenges but that's what makes it a mission right? 3rd Nephi 13:32-34

I also had a kid that was 18 years and we were teaching him a lot and he is progressing really well.

I miss you guys a lot and love all of you.

Siempre Sonreir! :)
