WEEK 44

10 Months!

So this week I hit 10 months. Pretty crazy how fast it is going.
I had divisions with my district this week so I wasn't in my area a bunch.
I have starting teaching English classes at the church so that is different. It's not too hard because I know English haha..

We have been finding some prepared people this week. With 2 of the new people we have had this week they said that they would get baptized if they come to know the truth. When we tell people that there is a church that Jesus established and that we have this same church they think that it is too good to be true. Sometimes we take the knowledge we have of this for granted. We really are so blessed that we have this church and we can be on the straight and narrow path. All we need to do is get on it.

So this Saturday I was fortunate enough to be able to go to a baptism in my old area with someone that I taught. She was super ready and prepared and she loves the church. I'm glad I could be apart of that.

I miss you guys and love you guys a bunch.

WEEK 43

Feliz día de Padre

Happy Father's Day!!!

In priesthood this Sunday we talked about fathers since it was father's day, and they talked on how fathers should try to be like our Heavenly Father. After they asked us to say something that we are grateful for from our fathers. I just want to say that I am super grateful for the examples that I have had in my life. I am grateful for the work ethic that I have learned and to have dignity in my life. You Dad, have taught me more things than you can think of and probably more than I can think of but one thing that I like is that you taught me that if there is something to be done we do it and that it is possible . Even if it is something that's not as fun we need to man up and do it. I have noticed how that has helped me in my life and especially in my mission. Whether it is spiritual or earthly you have taught me the importance of being diligent. Can't thank you enough for that. You are truly a leader and I hope to have more of your traits as I go on in life. Super grateful for Grandpa also and you 2 have a lot of the same traits that I admire. And I miss the farm a lot hah.

So this week has been pretty interesting. My new comp has 5 months in the mission and has only 6 weeks in this area so he doesn't know much of it either. But we are working hard. And fun fact is that my comp is 26 years old.  My whole area is a steep hill...ugh

This week the stake had an activity of " a day in the mission" I had a 17 year old kid with me all day as a comp. It was pretty good. The kid only has 2 months as a member of the church so it was cool to talk to him.

I am still district leader this change and still doing normal district leader things.

We talked to a recent convert this week. she was baptized 2 weeks ago, and she is super cool. She said that she has felt a happiness that she has never felt in her whole life and how the best present that she could give someone is the gospel and the happiness it brings to lives of people.

Other than that its been a normal week.. misss and love you guys a lot.. Remember to do the small things. Alma 37:6-7

WEEK 42

Changes!

So this has been a little more of an interesting week haha.

So this week was pretty good. We found some good and prepared people and then with one of the families that we teach we put a baptismal date for them. They really do want to change their life and they have felt the spirit in their lives. They are a family of 5 but one of the daughters is 7 so she can't yet .. she was a little bummed out haha.

Soooooooooooo.... I'm moving out of my area of madero 2 ... we had transfers. So I'm staying in the zone of Cuautepec but I'm moved to the area of Pastora 2. The whole area is a hill so that will be fun. My new companion is Elder Velez. He is from Puerto Rico and has 4 months in his mission. He talks super different haha.

I had to say bye to the members and investigators so that is always hard but I'm ready to work in this area to try to improve it.

I love and miss you guys!

WEEK 41

Los Sentimientos Del Espíritu

Hola Familia!

So this week has been a pretty normal week. We had the Zone Conference this week. It was good. We talked about the gathering of Israel and how it is super important to share the gospel to others and to be apart of the gospel also.
We received this reference from a recent convert that was baptized in a different area, her name is Fany. She is 22 and we has been going to church and we were finally able to talk with her this Sunday. I asked how she feels going to church. She said that she feels love and peace and more happy. In that moment I know that she has received a witness from the Holy Ghost that this is the Church of Jesus Christ and that it is the true Church. In that lesson I put a baptismal date for her. She will be baptized 24 of June. It is amazing to be able to see the changes in peoples lives as they live in accordance with the gospel. She is such a happy person and I know it is because she has made these changes in her life.

Today we went to Chili's and for a moment I felt like I was in the US haha I ate some good ribs. But we went outside and realized that this is Mexico haha.

That's good that they got the cows up to the la cebolla grande haha I wish that I could have been there for that . Makes me miss working.. especially with farming season.

Miss and love you guys un buen.
