WEEK 49

Fuimos al templo

So this has been a pretty good week as usual.

We found a family contacting and we had a lesson in her house. As we were talking she just randomly told us that, what we are doing as missionaries is amazing because she said it seems super hard but we still are super happy. She said that we have a spirit that she had never felt before. That was pretty cool to me to know that I can be an example of the church and share with her how she could be that happy and have that same spirit.

We also went to the temple this week with some investigators. It was a really good experience and the spirit was super strong. They talked a lot about families and how the only way that we can be an eternal family is through the ordinances and covenants of the gospel and in the temple.

I miss you guys a lot. and stay safe.

WEEK 48

11 months

So I have 11 months in the mission crazy that I almost have a year!
We had changes today but I am still in the same area and the same companion so nothing changed.

This week has been pretty good. We had another family home evening with the familia garcia quio and it was really good. They played guitar and sang after so that was fun.
The dad of this family finally came to church! so that is a good sign, his daughter gets back from her mission in one week.

We were searching for people this last week and we knocked on this door. The girl that we contacted came out but she said that she was busy and doesn't have a lot of time. I got this prompting to ask her if she has like 10 min to talk a little bit. She said yes and we continued to talk by her door. She allowed us to say a prayer with her and 2 min after her dad got home. We talked to him a little bit and he allowed us into his home. We had a good lesson with them and he told us that all he wants to do is find the path of Jesus and follow it. I am thankful for that prompting and I know that we were in the right place in the right time.

Bear Lake looks super fun! wish I could've been there.
Love and miss all you guys!

WEEK 47

conferencia de zona

Hola familia!
Decidí que voy a escribirles en español esta semana. jaj estoy bromeando.

So this week was pretty good. We had a family home evening with a family of investigators and we invited another family in the ward. The dad is an ex mission president and the lesson was really good. The investigator family has a daughter on a mission but she is the only member of the fam. They are still not members and she gets back in 2 weeks haha. but we have a baptism date for them so that is good!

We had zone conference this week and it was pretty good!

Sometimes I think that blessings come in the form of food haha.. not sure why but this week a bunch of members gave us food this week, and also some investigators, and even a contact haha. We ate really well this week.

This is the last week of the change so I might be getting a new comp.

I played some ball this morning for fun, basketball and also soccer.. I won basketball but my soccer skills are lacking haha.

Love and miss you guys a ton.

WEEK 46

Happy 4th of July!!

So this week has been pretty good. It was hard to find people this week. A lot were not home ha..
I had divisions with a companionship in my district. I went to their area and it was pretty good. We had a really good lesson and set a baptismal date. That was a good experience.

We ate at a members this last week and I felt like I was back in the US. We ate ribs, baked potato, and corn on the cob. and also root beer and it was the first time since the ccm that I drank root beer.

We are really working hard with the investigators we have and we put 5 baptismal dates. We are trying to prepare them for that date. One thing that we have been explaining with them is that they need to search for the answer that this is the true church. Sometimes people just expect an answer to come to them without doing anything. But it does not work like that. If we have this desire in our heart to find the truth it will take a little effort on our part to find it. The ways we can find the answers is by reading the scriptures, praying, and going to the church. Maybe these things seem small and easy but many times we feel like we do not need to do these things. These are the small things that we can do. So that we can find an answer and also that we can have the spirit with us always. As we do this we can feel the Holy Ghost and receive a witness that these things are right and true and of God. As we do this we will gain a testimony and maintain the testimonies we have. My testimony in these things have grown tremendous in my mission and I have this desire for you guys to find this answer find this feeling find this testimony and you will see a difference for the better in your life. 1 nephi 10:19 ether 12:6

Love you guys mucho and wish the best for all of you.

WEEK 45

One other week in Mexico

Not too much to tell you guys this week. It was pretty normal. We are still finding some good people that have a lot of potential. I am seeing this area picking up a little which is good.

We have been struggling with getting investigators to the church but this Sunday we were pleasantly surprised to see that some went. One mother and her daughter went to church! Her other daughter is on a mission! But she still hasn't wanted to join the church. We have been teaching them and they are super good. They looked really happy at church. I am hoping to put a baptismal date with them this week.

We recently found an investigator and she is 22 and she has seen a lot of death in her family and she lost a baby young. But we talked a little of the plan of salvation and she says that she knows that she is going to see her baby again because she can feel God in her life. We then explained that she is right. The spirit was strong.

That's cool that Brit visited you guys! I wish I could have a visit haha. I miss the fam and the farm haha glad to see that you guys are doing good.

Love you
