WEEK 95

Happy Father's Day!

First of all. Happy Fathers Day to all! You guys are Awesome! 

This week we had the conference With Presidente Pieper. It was really good!!! Best conference we have ever had haha I learned a lot of good stuff. I also had the interview with him. It was pretty normal. Just gave me some advice for after the mission. He actually lived in Marsh Valley for a little part of his childhood put went to Snake River for high school. 

Today Elder Niederhauser and I went to help a member with his English class. It was really fun and we felt like we were famous haha too bad we forgot our cameras to take pics... it was fun working with the kids tho! 

It's been raining a lot here because of the hurricanes. It's a lot better than the heat tho. 

Elva and Daniela are really starting to progress very well. This area really has been trying but I'm seeing the blessings now. 

The only way to progress is through the spirit. That connection is first as we teach as missionaries. That also helps me personally understand. 

Last week of the change so we will see if I have changes or if I get a new companion.

WEEK 94

Preston is back :O


Hey! 

This week was really good. Yes mom I am really busy with teaching investigators haha and almost all of them have dates but the hard thing is to make it happen. 

We  had a lesson with Elva and her daughter and Elva already had a baptismal date and this was the first time her daughter was listening to us in a lesson. At the end I asked her how she felt about her mom getting baptized and she said that she also wants to be baptized. So that is super cool! It's awesome how the spirit tells them what they need to do and not us. 

I went to Chili's today with the gang from my genereacion. It has been a goal for us since the ccm. 

We only have 2 weeks left in this transfer and we have the zone conference this time with Elder Pieper. I also have an interview with him after. That will be interesting I guess.

WEEK 93

Missing football

hey everyone! 

So today we played some American football so that was really fun! And after we ate at Costco! I felt like I was in the US for a little bit haha. 

This week has been pretty good. Finding a lot of people that want to progress in the gospel and as always a lot of people that don't want to. 

Being an ejemplo is very important. For some reason we contacted a lot of people that were members or people that know members that say that they will never join the church because of certain people they know that are members that do things that they shouldn't. So that made it a little more hard on us haha. 

Always remember that there are 2 parts of faith. To believe and to act. We need both to accomplish the things we want to. We had to teach that as Zone leaders. We can't just act in vane. We need to believe and also we can't just believe we need to act. 

We've seen a lot more borrachos lately .

WEEK 92

 "El Jeep"

Hey guys!!!!! 

So there really isn't much to say this week. 

Elder Pieper is coming to our zone conference this change and I have a small interview with him after. 

We are finding prepared people. We tought a person and he told us he is going to be bishop some day. 

You might be wondering why I titled this as The Jeep but it will be a story for when I get home. 

At church this guy from Haiti talked and he was pretty much yelling haha but I loved the animo.. excitement. 

Just the same old same old here in mexico.

WEEK 91

Ojo gigante


Hey Fam and Friends! This week was pretty good. We started the transfer pretty good. We finally talked with those kids last week. They are super cool! The ward had an activity for Mother's day and the kids preformed. They danced. it was really good. 

If you guys are wanting to know why I put ojo gigante in the title it's because my eye got huge! haha I was in a district meeting and all of a sudden my eye hurt and itched so I went to the restroom and I saw that my eye was huge! super swollen. I don't know why but it happened. You'll see pics haha. 

This should be a really good change in the mission! the ward is super excited and we are hoping to improve this area. especially because the past 2 years the have not had success.

Mother's Day - WEEK 90

Feliz Día de Madre!

Hey!! It was really awesome talking with you guys yesterday!! And also seeing the other videos of Hans' family! 

This might be a short email because I already talked with you guys yesterday. 

We talked With the one family that they want to baptize the 2 daughters and they are really excited to start going to church again and be baptized!! 

Today is the first day of transfers. I hope to start it off well!! I am still zone leader with Elder Fleming. The zone also got bigger because they added a new zone to mine haha. 

English classes are working better and we are finding more news that way. 

not much else to say haha.

WEEK 89

Conferencia de zona

Hello! 

We had the zone conference this week. It was pretty good. Elder Fleming and I conducted and also we taught a class. 

We are planning an activity with the ward. They are getting a lot more excited about missionary work now so that is good! We have not taught those kids because the house where they live hate us haha but they did go to church again and we set up an appointment with them in another house. 

I have a weird story to tell you guys but maybe I'll just wait til Mother's Day haha. 

We are finding more people that want to be baptized so that is good! 

We have changes next week also but I'm pretty sure I'll stay here. 

I'll save everything else for Mother's Day. Sorry for the boring letter.
