WEEK 40

Just another week in Mexico

So first thing first, we didn't have the baptism this week.... She broke her arm the day before so she was not able to be baptized.

We worked hard this week and found a lot of new people to teach and my story is about the same as Colt's, that there are not a lot that are interested but we did find some good people this week.

Not a lot has happened this week just the norm. We played basketball today as usual. It is pretty crazy how Quincie is engaged! that was a surprise.

If you have felt the spirit in your life and have received these blessings, can you feel it now?
pretty deep scripture but I like it a lot, says that we always need to be doing the little things to maintain this light we have.

Love and miss you guys

WEEK 39

9 months!

Hola Familia!!

This has been a decent week. We are starting to find some good people to teach so that is always good.
We are going to be having a baptism this week! Her name is Alondra and she is a daughter of an inactive family. They have been going to church for about a month straight now and they say that they are liking it. She is really excited to be baptized.
We had stake conference this week and it was pretty good. They had some good talks about how we should share the gospel and that it is really a blessing that we have the restored church here on the earth.
I contacted someone in English the other day. We were walking in the street and some person yelled " Hey hello my friend how are you" usually when people say that they are drunk haha but this guy seemed nice so I figured I'd go talk to him. He lives in Los Angeles and he is visiting his family in Mexico. He knew Spanish so I was talking in Spanish but he told me he wanted to speak in English with me. So I contacted him and told him about the church and that we could visit him another day. He didn't seem too interested but the family that he was with was interested so we got the address. It was my first time contacting in English.. so it was a little weird and I think it would've been easier in Spanish haha but it was a good experience.

That is my week. Remember that I love and miss you guys.

WEEK 38 - MOTHER'S DAY

 Happy Mothers Day!

So really not much to talk about this week. But we are preparing the people for their baptismal dates. It is a cool thing to see how excited these people are to be baptized. I can tell that they are ready.

We had divisions this week and that is always kinda fun to be able to see a new area even though they are about the same haha.

We found this one taco place in our area and they have really good tacos! they have something called costras and they are the best. We eat there at least once a week. We contacted the taco guy also and we have been trying to have a lesson with him and his family but when we showed up they were busy so we helped them hang a tarp over their taco place.

We played basketball this morning and as always I enjoyed that but we played at a stake center and I finally got to play on a wood court with nets on the baskets.

It was super good that I was able to talk to you guys! From the sound of things you guys are doing good. I miss you guys and love you.

Do the things that you should do and do the things of God and you will see the blessings pour into your lives. Mosiah 2:41

WEEK 37

 Hola

Hola Familia!

So it has been a pretty normal week as usual.
Something good this week is that we set 2 more baptism dates but one didn't come to church this Sunday so will we have to change it. We are starting to find some really good people but chances are is that I will not be here for their baptisms because I'll be done training.
This week we visited a less active family and we found out that her daughter has not been baptized yet and that they wanted us to teach her. We have taught her a few times this week and now we have a baptism set for her. She really wants to be baptized we just need to activate her family. We taught the Sabbath day and they understood really well and the are encouraged to go to the church more.

Nothing else too exciting happened this week. Love and miss all you guys and I will see you next week!  2nd Nephi 10: 23-25

WEEK 36

Cambios

Hola familia!!

Sounds like this week has been an eventful week for everyone! From the pics, it looks like Jake and Sara's new house is pretty good. And that is a nice grill. I wish I could eat the food from it haha I miss dad's cooking... and moms, and g mas. hah That's good to see that my bike is safe and sound in the garage. It would come in handy here with these hills haha.
That's cool that Quinn got his call! Atlanta, GA for my cousin...Tell him that I say good luck.

So today is the day of transfers but I am staying in the same area with my same comp. And I'm still district leader.

This week was a good one. We set a baptismal date for Yesenia. She said that she prayed and felt nothing..... but then I asked her how she felt during our lessons. She said the fruits of the spirit so later I explained that she was feeling the spirit and that answers come in different ways. She also has a daughter so we challenged her to pray and we are hoping to have the 2 baptisms together.
She really is prepared and I'm grateful that I can be the one teaching her.

Other than that it has been a pretty normal week. I love and miss all of you! Siempre Sonreír :)
