WEEK 79

"Una visita de Elder Neil L. Andersen"

Hello, I do not have very much time today.

I am liking the new area, it has a lot of potential. The area is smaller and is half flat and half hill.  We had some amazing lessons with some really prepared people. One investigator just has to be married and she will be baptized. We also put a baptismal date for Blanca. She is awesome!

We had the great opportunity to listen to Elder Neil L. Andersen of the quorum of the 12. Something I like of what he said is that we have to suffer to fully repent, not just say whoops I'm sorry. Also that the mission or our life is impossible without extra help from the savior.

Juan's baptism got canceled. His mom died the day of. That must've been hard. The baptism will be postponed for a little bit.

This zone is a little bit smaller but I am excited to work with them. The other zone leader is Elder Humpiri from Peru.

I went to buffalo wild wings today!!!! super good hah.
Love all of you.
Siempre sonríen! ;)

WEEK 78

Cambios y un Sismo

Hello Familia!! So this has been a real interesting last week. Everyone knew it was my last week in the area so they invited me to eat a lot! Pretty sure I gained a good 5 pounds. It was a little weird saying bye to so many people that I came to know but also I did a lot of reflecting. You will see the pics of some of those that I have developed relationships with.

There was an earthquake but I only felt a little bit of it and saw some things move but nothing big.

I got transfered! I am now in the stake of Tenayo and in the ward of Juarez. Seems like it will be a good area. My new companion is Elder Smith. He is from Utah. He has 10 months in the mission. I think we are going to work very well together. I am still Zone leader and my companion is a district leader. Not sure how that happend but it should be good haha.

We found Juan!!!!!! for sure a blessing/answer. He is coping with his mom better and he came to church with us. We had a great lesson with him and he asked me to baptize him so we are going to see if presidente gives me permiso. I hope he will that will be a great experience.

Also, fun fact, we will be having a special conference with Elder Neil L. Andersen. That should be really good.

Love you guys!!
Siempre Sonríen! ;)

WEEK 77

Happy Birthday Grandpa!!!

Just want to give a shout out to Grandpa because it is his birthday! Really want to start working on the farm again haah.

This was a good week even though not much has happend. We had a lesson with someone and he reads the pamphlet and we ask him what he understood and can pretty much teach us. He is for sure going to be baptized.

I hope we find Juan this week. His mom is still in the hospital and it's not looking good.

This is my probably my last week here in La Pastora. It is kinda depressing because with 8 1/2 months, this place is feeling like home haha but I am excited to know more people and work in another area.

We had zone conference this week and it went pretty good. Elder Lloyd and I taught the class pretty good also.

Miss all of you and love all of you.
Siempre Sonríen :)

WEEK 76

FELIZ CUMPLEAÑOS PAPÁ

Happy birthday to the BEST Dad that I could ask for!

So I have 6 months left. Feels pretty weird but I feel more prepared than ever to be a missionary. I will probably only have 1 area left and 4 transfers left in the mission.

This week we had splits with the assistants and it was really good. I learned a lot. I also had splits with Elder Peery. He's a good guy. He is in Madero so I went back to my last area for a day.

We had a lesson and we asked him if he would be baptized when he gets an answer that it is true and he just said well of course why wouldn't I? I liked his answer. He still needs to get married before.

We finally found Juan!!!!!!!!!!!! his mom is in really bad shape in the hospital so we could not visit him for about 2 weeks. He just showed up to church yesterday. Definitely an answer to a prayer. He says he still wants to be baptized.

Love and miss all of you.
Siempre Sonríe
