WEEK 35

8 months!

So I hit 8 months this past week so that is pretty cool! time is going by pretty fast! 

This week we had our mission conference. It was really good. The theme of it was about the book of Mormon. We got to here some great testimonies that people of the book of Mormon. President also explained what truths we know about the gospel because of the Book of Mormon. Some of these things are simple but they are things that other people don't know. I am so grateful for the Book of Mormon in my life and that I know that it is true. It is really the keystone to our religion. I want to invite everyone that they should start to read this book if they have not already started. 

I had divisions this week also and that is pretty normal being district leader. They were good. This week was a lot of hard work but the hard work has paid off. We had a bunch of new investigators and we have people saying that they will be baptized if they receive a witness that it is true through the holy ghost. It is a cool thing when we find people that have been prepared to hear about the gospel. 

That is about everything almost that has happened this week. Love and miss all you guys!!

WEEK 34

Happy Easter

Hola Familia! 

I wish I could've been there for the Easter party! Looked like you guys had some fun! and the kids are getting so old! they already look bigger and I only have 7 months in! 

So this week has been a tough one. It was semana santa and everyone has a break from school and a lot have a break from there job so there was almost no one here in my area. 

Also I think I ate something bad so I got sick from that haha but the work continues!! 

So not much happened this week but I did teach the district about the plan of salvation. I felt like it was a good lesson. As missionaries we know the plan pretty good but I wanted to get more out of it so I was teaching why is it so important and why it is important in our investigators lives. Teaching this class made me realize that this plan is perfect and that is it for everyone. It is also not a suggestion that we should follow it but if we want to live with God again we have these steps that are essential to take in this live we have. Also, the atonement is the main part in the plan because without it there would be no way to return. We are not perfect but we can become perfect through the atonement and Gods plan. 

We also went to the temple so that is always a really good experience. The spirit is always so strong. 

This Sunday the missionaries had to give a talk in sacrament meeting. I talked about the attributes of Christ. If you guys remember that was my farewell talk haha but I feel like I did a lot better this time. I talked for about 13 minutes and I feel like it is easier to give talks in Spanish haha less nerve racking. But, we need to strive to develop these attributes in our lives because He showed us the perfect life and the perfect example to follow.

WEEK 33

Spring Break!! or ... Semana Santa en México

Hola familia!! 

So this has been a good week but nothing real exciting. 

Training has been going good, I can see the progress in my companion. We just have been working pretty hard lately. Being district leader is good. As district leader I have to go on splits with my district so I had that.. it was interesting. 

We have a baptismal date but he didn't come to church and he needs to progress more but we are working with him. 

We have been finding new people so that is really good and I hope we can help them progress. 

I miss the Idaho weather haha and I wish I could've branded with you guys . 

In the district class the lesson was on the restoration and it made me realize how important it is for the gospel to be restored and how lucky we are that we literally have the church of Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel and that the church that Jesus established is the same church that we have now. 

I love and miss all of you.

WEEK 32

Happy Birthday MOM!!!!!!

Happy birthday mom!!! I love you so much and I'll send another email so that I don't take up too much space in my email. (mom: wait for it....)

Training and district leader has been a little challenging but I like it and am learning from it.

So this has been a good week. We had a family home evening with one of the members and they invited a family that are not members! They are super good and I hope that we can continue teaching them. We taught about three things that are essential in this life to be firm in the gospel and receive blessings. These things are .1. pray always 2. read the scriptures 3. keep the Sabbath day holy.  These are the basics but without them we have nothing. 

I loved conference! I loved all the talks and these men are called to be our guides and they really can receive revelation. I hope that all of you could've watched conference. There is one talk that I want you mom and dad to listen to if you haven't already.. it is by Henry B. Erying in the Saturday morning session. He talked about the plan of salvation and how the ultimate goal for us to to be eternal families. I thought about you guys during this talk and I really want to be an eternal family. This will take work but it is possible.  Mosiah 2: 41

I love you so much and you are the best mom ever! you da bomb!!! And you are just that good haha thanks for raising me and teaching all the things I need to know to live in this life. Thanks for this attitude that everyone knows I got from you hahahahha I can't express my gratitude enough for you. Remember you are always loved. I want the best for you just how you want the best for me. Keep on keepin on and I can't wait to see you in 17 months haha
