WEEK 96

 Mi ultimo cambio

Hello!  

Well this is my last transfer! 6 weeks more to go! It's pretty crazy to think about! 

This transfer I stayed in my area which is what I wanted and I also have a new companion. His name is Elder Aguilar and he is from Chile. I think he is about 23 or 24 years old. He came to the mission the same day as me but the Latinos leave a change after us because we had more time in the ccm mtc. He is a really good elder. I was his District Leader before when I was in La Pastora and he was my Zone Leader. I am still Zone Leader this transfer and Elder Augilar is a District Leader. 

We will work good together.

Elva finally has an appointment to get married but we still don't know when. We are just waiting so that she can be baptized her and her daughter. We are still working with other people for baptism. 

We found a really good family last week so we are hoping that they can progress fast.

WEEK 95

Happy Father's Day!

First of all. Happy Fathers Day to all! You guys are Awesome! 

This week we had the conference With Presidente Pieper. It was really good!!! Best conference we have ever had haha I learned a lot of good stuff. I also had the interview with him. It was pretty normal. Just gave me some advice for after the mission. He actually lived in Marsh Valley for a little part of his childhood put went to Snake River for high school. 

Today Elder Niederhauser and I went to help a member with his English class. It was really fun and we felt like we were famous haha too bad we forgot our cameras to take pics... it was fun working with the kids tho! 

It's been raining a lot here because of the hurricanes. It's a lot better than the heat tho. 

Elva and Daniela are really starting to progress very well. This area really has been trying but I'm seeing the blessings now. 

The only way to progress is through the spirit. That connection is first as we teach as missionaries. That also helps me personally understand. 

Last week of the change so we will see if I have changes or if I get a new companion.

WEEK 94

Preston is back :O


Hey! 

This week was really good. Yes mom I am really busy with teaching investigators haha and almost all of them have dates but the hard thing is to make it happen. 

We  had a lesson with Elva and her daughter and Elva already had a baptismal date and this was the first time her daughter was listening to us in a lesson. At the end I asked her how she felt about her mom getting baptized and she said that she also wants to be baptized. So that is super cool! It's awesome how the spirit tells them what they need to do and not us. 

I went to Chili's today with the gang from my genereacion. It has been a goal for us since the ccm. 

We only have 2 weeks left in this transfer and we have the zone conference this time with Elder Pieper. I also have an interview with him after. That will be interesting I guess.

WEEK 93

Missing football

hey everyone! 

So today we played some American football so that was really fun! And after we ate at Costco! I felt like I was in the US for a little bit haha. 

This week has been pretty good. Finding a lot of people that want to progress in the gospel and as always a lot of people that don't want to. 

Being an ejemplo is very important. For some reason we contacted a lot of people that were members or people that know members that say that they will never join the church because of certain people they know that are members that do things that they shouldn't. So that made it a little more hard on us haha. 

Always remember that there are 2 parts of faith. To believe and to act. We need both to accomplish the things we want to. We had to teach that as Zone leaders. We can't just act in vane. We need to believe and also we can't just believe we need to act. 

We've seen a lot more borrachos lately .
